Based on the comic book character Captain America, this explosive action extravaganza follows Steve Rogers AKA Captain America. Shield is compromised and it’s now up to Cap and company to save the world, yet again. I have heard many people say that this is the best superhero film of the year. Now I find this to be an overstatement. Captain America is a great movie, but it still has its ups and downs. There are a few things I like about this film and a few things I don’t.

Things I liked:
The movie spectacularly written, with a mature tone in mind. it has a lot of  interesting twists and turns and a lot of political espionage. So, I like the fact that it is a movie which will make you think and that it is not just a generic action movie full of explosions. The next is the CGI. It is top notch. CGI keeps developing and we can see the effort put in this movie to make it look good. There are some really good action sequences in this film. The acting is topnotch for most of the characters. Then comes the Winter Solider. I loved every scene he was in. But, one of my biggest gripes about this movie is also the winter solider.

Things I didn’t like:
The biggest gripe is that the winter solider is not in this movie enough, for it to be called The Winter Solider. The movie could have been called Captain America 2 or Captain America and the political espionage thing.  But the filmmakers called it the Winter Solider and he isn't in the movie enough. I previously mentioned that I loved the CGI. But I would have liked the falcon scenes to have been more polished. The maneuvers that falcon makes him seem like Iron Man so that is a major thing which got me. I also found some of the wire work on the black widow unconvincing. Another thing which I didn't like very much was the scene where Cap took down the hovering jet from his motorcycle. The CGI in that scene was a bit off.

Other thoughts:
I definitely liked this movie and I found it to be extremely entertaining. It is a good movie to watch if you are free this weekend and want to do something fun. I would recommend that you see it in 2D rather than pay extra for 3D. Why, because I personally enjoyed it in 2D. It is a fun movie to watch with friends or your family. For all those marvel freaks out there like me, Stan Lee's cameo is awesome and do wait for the end credits scene.

Final Verdict:
The films I review will be rated on a scale of 1 to 10. For all the awesomeness that this movie has I give it an   8.0 on 10. Catch captain America in theaters near you it’s definitely worth a watch.

Peace!!
